RSD, aka Bristol UK bass music producer Rob Smith and one half of respected production duo Smith & Mighty, has been pushing bass heavy rhythms for more than two decades. With releases on respected labels including Punch Drunk, Earwax, Tectonic, Black Box, Moonshine Records, Foundation Audio etc, RSD’s sound is typified by heavy soundsystem-testing sub-lines and junglist dub breaks.
Rob remains firmly at the forefront of Bristol’s endlessly inventive music scene, with a staggering discography and a range of projects encompassing dub, reggae, drum & bass, 2-step, and dubstep. He has produced and remixed for countless artists including Massive Attack, Dubkasm, DJ Pinch, Horace Andy, Lee Scratch Perry, Alpha Steppa, and recently for AMJ and Ishan sound.
