Current Content is Everybody’s latest bestseller, an event series turning the page of electronic music, illustrating the best boundary pushers available to our little isle at the edge of the world.
For its’ first chapter we have a rare performance from one of Oceania’s greatest champions of house and techno, Sydney Australia’s Murat Kilic, bolstered by Auckland’s local vanguard of all things funky, groovy and driving four by four.
Don’t miss a night that’ll be the stuff of urban legends.

MURAT KILIC (RECKLESS REPUBLIC – AUS)
Murat Kilic has been a mainstay of the Australian electronic music industry for over 20 years, contributing to the development and growth of the Australian dance music scene through his role as a curator, music producer, DJ, radio host and talent booker. Murat continues to wear many hats in the industry and carries his work from his bases in Sydney and Byron Bay.
As a DJ/Producer Murat has released on labels such as ‘Stil Vor Talent’, ‘OFF’ recordings, ‘Lost My Dog’, ‘One Love’ and his own ‘Reckless Republic’ imprint. He has played in many noteworthy clubs around the world including Watergate in Berlin, Rex in Paris, Pacha in Ibiza, Electric Pickle in Miami and Hive in Zurich to name a few. Alongside Dave Goode (a multi-platinum ARIA artist), he curates the A&R for their record label and digital art house, Reckless Republic. Together, Murat & Dave comprise electronic act “The Planetts” with their vocalist Ciaran Gribbin, a grammy nominated artist. Murat is a radio presenter on Byron Bay’s main FM station Bay FM and also holds a residency down at Sneaky Sundays in Sydney, an event curated and run by music industry stalwarts Sneaky Sound System.

As well as championing successful clubbing institution SPICE in Sydney, Murat is a respected music industry leader with far reaching influence, he has filled speaking slots at global music conferences like IMS and his DJing talent has been sought in all corners of the world. His biggest asset remains his ability to translate his music knowledge on to a dancefloor to deliver creative and unique sets, something he has been doing for over 20 years with the same enthusiasm as when he started buying vinyl aged 10 in 1982.

Note the venue has a dress code (no hoodies (in venue), hats, cargo pants or shorts), so dress to impress!
